Designed in collaboration with Snarkitecture, The Playground transforms the National Building Museum's Great Hall into a landscape for open-ended play. Familiar playground elements are enlarged, abstracted, and rearranged into a loose field of climbing, wandering, resting, and gathering. Rather than prescribing a single way through, the project leaves room for invention. Children and adults alike become participants, turning the architecture into something continually rewritten through movement.
