Gluten is a multidisciplinary studio ranging in scales and platforms from architecture, product design, graphic design, and branding. Exploring the interstitial, Gluten plays with the relationship between dialogue and design present at the intersection of digital and analog. Intentionally reappropriating terminology and vernacular, new abstractions are formed to redefine the status quo. Sticky, elastic, and taboo, the studio takes a visceral and playful approach to design. Gluten was founded in 2021 by Julia McConnell and Paige Davidson.
